Front: Former Prime Minister of The Bahamas Sir Lynden Oscar Pindling (1930-2000) (regarded as the "Father of the Nation" of the Bahamas). Blossom of indigenous Caribbean tree Lignum Vitae (Pockholz, Guayacan, Guaiacum). Map of Bahamas. Back: Drum Major, in full regalia, leading the Royal Bahamas Police Force’s marching band. Coat of arms. Watermark: Sir Lynden O. Pindling and electrotype "$1". Security features: CRISP Evolution. Watermark. Sand Dollar (sea urchin) as a registration device. Flying owl in OVI (Optically Variable Ink) in green iridescent colour. Consecutively running black horizontal and vertical red serial numbers on the obverse of the banknote. Vertical, segmented windowed 3 mm wide Galaxy® security thread with a defined movement sequence that displays opposite reflections when turned lengthways, bearing demetalized text "ONE $1". Sparsely scattered security fibers, denomination 1 and the vertical serial number fluoresce while being exposed to an ultraviolet light. Main colours: Multicoloured predominantly green.
