Effigy of the Swiss poet and writer of German language
literature Gottfried Keller (1819-1890). Back: Uprooted blossoming flowers. These are not Carnation flowers as claimed by SCWPM and it does not seem to look like Avens (Geum urbanum), also known as Herb Bennet, as claimed by the Swiss National Bank. Perhaps the foliage is, but not the blossoms. Predominant colours: Purple and red-brown. Artists: Hermann Eidenbenz. Signatories as depicted: Otto Kunz (Der Hauptkassier); Dr. Brenno Galli (Der Präsident des Bankrates); Dr. Riccardo Motta (Ein Mitglied des Direktoriums). First Issued: 1 October 1956.
