Front: Sultan Qait Bay Mosque also known as Madrasa of Qatbay, located in Qal'at al-Kabsh neighborhood of Cairo (1475). Back: Part of the facade of Abu Simbel Temple; At the top and bottom of the note running in two bands horizontally are birds and other shapes taken from the structure built by Ramses II in front of the Luxor Temple of Amenophis II. Watermark: Mask of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. Security features: Vertical, segmented, windowed, 3 mm wide polymeric security thread that is exposed on the front side of the banknote. Watermarked paper. Consecutively running black horizontal serial numbers on the opposite sides of the obverse side of the banknote. Predominant colour: Brown. Artist: Unknown.
