Obverse: Catherine Flon Arcahaie, the goddaughter of Jean-Jacques Dessalines, sewing the first Haitian flag on the 18th of May 1803.
Letters "BRH" as registration device on both sides. Reverse:
Coat of arms of Haiti (canons, flags, drum, anchor, soufflets, trumpet, sailing
ship, palm tree with with Phrygian cap). Watermark: Top of palm tree with Phrygian cap from Haitian coat of arms. Predominant colours:
Green and blue. Signatures: Fritz Jean (Le Gouverneur); Roland Pierre (Le Gouverneur Adjoint);
Henri Cassion (Le Directeur Général).
