also known as Janjak Desalin, founding father of Haïti. Declaration of independence before a crowd at Gonaïves on 1st of January 1804. Coat of arms of Haiti (canons, flags, drum, anchor, soufflets, trumpet, sailing ship, palm tree with with Phrygian cap). Reverse: Fort Décidé at Marchand. Watermark: Haitian Coat of arms. Electrotype "BRH" logo. Reinforced cornerstones. Predominant colours: Lilac and gold.
