Front: Portrait of Ragnheiður Jónsdóttir (1646–1715), third wife, her husband Bishop of Hólar Gísli Þórlaksson and his first and second wives Gróa Þorleifsdóttir and Ingibjörg Benediktsdóttir (1684). Back: Ragnheiður Jónsdóttir teaching other two women embroidery. Initials from her pattern book. The borders and main pattern on both sides, and the embroidered lettering on the obverse, are copied from the Laufáskirkja altar cloth at the National Museum of Iceland. Watermark: Effigy of Jón Sigurðsson (1811–1879); Electrotype '5000'. Security thread: Segmented, windowed, with obverse exposure, metallic 1 mm wide security thread. Highlight colour: Dark blue on multicoloured underprint. Designers: Kristin Thorkelsdóttir, Stephen A. Fairbairn. Signatures: Davíð Oddsson (Governor, 2005–2009); Eiríkur Guðnason (Governor, 1994–2009). Issuer: Central Bank of Iceland - Seðlabanki Íslands. Date of issue: 22 May 2001 (circa 2006).
