features: Watermark. Running serial numbers. Signatures: Imperial Treasury red signature seals. Artist: Edoardo Chiossone (1833 - 1898) (designed the portrait in 1888). Issuer: Bank of Japan (Nippon Ginko). Date of issue: 1943.
