and 1979 Australian coins were used in Kiribati. Kiribati
(ex-Gilbert Islands) has been issuing its own coins since 1979, which circulate alongside Australian dollar coins and banknotes. Kiribati dollar is not an independent currency, but a variation of the Australian Dollar. |
