Reverse: Native birds of Qatar: Crested lark (Galerida cristata); Eurasian bee-eater (Merops apiaster); Lesser sand plover (Charadrius mongolus). Ornamental designs. Watermark: Falcon's head; Electrotype '1' in Western and Eastern Arabic. Security features: Horizontal red and black serial numbers on the obverse of the banknote. Invisible to the eye coloured filament fibers (hairs), the serial numbers, parts of the design and the hi-lite '1' denomination block fluoresce under ultraviolet light.
