Remark: The literal translation for Dhagaxtuur is "stone throwing." The monument symbolises the struggle for independence
from the colonial occupation. Protestors were throwing stones at the British forces, demanding that Italy not be given the
trusteeship for Somalia during the ten year transition period to independence. Two protestors were killed by the British.
