Front: Ancient Roman amphitheater in Bosra. Back: Ceramic tile mosaic of grape harvesting from ancient Roman ruins in As-Suwayda. Branches of olive trees. Lintels with ornamental designs. Watermark: Coat of arms; Electrotype '1000'. Security features: Embossed intaglio lintel as HMC (Hidden Multi Coloured image) with Arabic '1000' denomination. Running black horizontal and vertical serial numbers on the obverse of the banknote. Solid, holographic, vertical, windowed on the obverse, almost 5 mm wide security thread, bearing demetalized 'SP 1000' in Eastern and Western Arabic numerals. The coloured filament fibers (hairs), the security stripe, the '1000' denomination numerals and parts of the design fluoresce under ultraviolet light. Registration device in a form of an octagonal mosaic. Microperforation. Tactile feature: Series of sloping intaglio lines on both left and right edges of the banknote. Main colour: Olivine green.
