Front: King Siaosi (George) Tupou V in military uniform (1948 - 2012). Tongan Tapa bark cloth for special occasions. Coat of arms of the Kingdom of Tonga. Back: Vava'u island Harbour in Neiafu. Order from chest of George Tupou V. Watermark: Siaosi Taufa'ahau Manumataongo Tuku'aho Tupou V; Electrotype NRBT; Reinforced cornerstones. Security features: Watermark. Consecutively running red vertical and black horizontal serial numbers on the obverse of the banknote. Vertical, semi-exposed (semi-clear windowed with Optiks Window), 17 mm wide metalized polymer security thread. Tapa design, vertical red serial number and a denomination block "100", all on the obverse of the bank note and both (yellow) edges of the security thread fluoresce while exposed to an ultraviolet light. Main colour: Ruby red.
