Coat of Arms depicting Santa Maria, Nina, and Pinta: the three ships Christopher Columbus used on his journey to the "New World, humingbirds, Scarlet Ibis (Eudocimus ruber), Cocrico - Rufous-vented Chachalaca (Ortalis ruficauda) and Trinity Hills in southern Trinidad. Reverse: Eric Williams Finance Building in Port of Spain where Central Bank of T&T is located. Anhydrous ammonia plant of the Trinidad Nitrogen Company at the Point Lisas Industrial Estate. Watermark: Scarlet Ibis ready to fly; Electrotype "TT 1"; Reinforced cornerstones. Security features: Watermark. Segmented, windowed (on the front), 1,2 mm wide security thread, bearing demetalized text "CBTT". Ascending running black horizontal and blue vertical serial numbers on the obverse of the banknote. Denominational block, the horizontal serial number and the central part of the obverse of the banknote fluoresce under ultraviolet light.
