Front: Chiremba Balancing Rocks, surrounded by vegetation, in Epworth near Harare. Back: The conical tower inside the Great Enclosure at The Ruins of Great Zimbabwe near Masvingo (Fort Victoria). Cattle in a pasture. Watermark: The Great Zimbabwe Bird; Electrotype '1000'. Also a simulated faux "engraving" in the watermark area of the note displays a cow and plants on both sides of the note. Security features: Consecutively running red vertical and black horizontal serial numbers on the reverse of the banknote. Holographic, windowed, 3 mm wide metallic security thread bearing repeated monogram 'RBZ', '1000' and a tiny image of Chiremba Balancing Rocks. Extremely sparsely distributed security filament fibers (hairs), barely visible, fluoresce while exposed to an ultraviolet light. Surface-applied 10 mm wide security ribbon on the back, executed in golden paint. Registration device in a form of a vertical '1000000'. Tactile feature: Square dot in the watermark area to help the blind and the visually impaired people to recognize the banknote. Main colour: Blue.
