| Front: An image of Clara Schumann (1819 - 1896), a German musician and composer, from a lithograph by Andreas Staub, an Austrian watercolour painter and lithographer. Historic buildings of Leipzig. Back: Grand piano that Clara Schumann played. The exterior of Dr. Hoch's Konservatorium, where she taught. Tuning fork (kamerton) in motion. Watermark: Clara Schumann and electrotype "100". Security features: Running serial numbers on the front of the banknote. Coloured filament fibers (hairs) scattered throughout the banknote that fluoresce yellow, red and blue under ultraviolet light. Central (Leipzig) part of the design on the obverse fluoresces in yellow colour under ultraviolet light. Predominant colour: Blue. Artist: Deutsche Bundesbank. Engraver: Unknown.
