Front: Imam Ayatollah Sayyid Ruhollah Mousavi Khomeini (1902 - 1989). Ornate floral designs. Reverse: The Tomb and mausoleum dedicated to the Persian poet Saadi (commonly known as Saadieh) in Shiraz. Watermark: Imam Ayatollah Sayyid Ruhollah Mousavi Khomeini; electrotype 100000. Signatures: (Nș37): Valiollah Seyf (Head of the Central Bank); Masoud Karbasian (Minister of Wealth). Security features: Security fibres (hairs), parts of the design and the serial numbers fluoresce under ultraviolet light. Segmented vertical 2mm wide security thread. Consecutively running red horizontal serial numbers on the obverse of the banknote. Watermarked paper. Tactile feature: There are four intaglio circled dots for the visually impaired people to recognize the denomination of the banknote from. Predominant colour: Moss green. Security Thread: The note has a windowed holographic security thread with 2.5 mm width, showing the logo of The Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The color of this thread varies with a slight change of light angle; meanwhile the invisible English text of "100000" within the thread is recognizable when light reflects from back side of the paper.

Paper: 100% cotton.

Invisible Fluorescent Fibers: Fluorescent colored fibers in green, blue, red and yellow embedded in the paste of paper become visible under ultra violet light on the obverse and reverse sides.

Printing Technique: Dry Offset.

Serial Number: Letterpress printing of serial number with single color fluorescent ink, changes under ultra violet light to golden color.

Microprint: The text of "100000 ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND RIALS" is in negative and positive microprint and appears in the top and bottom of the upper and lower front borders and in the left side of the map design on the reverse side. Also the top and bottom of lower border on the reverse side of the note contains microprint of the numeral "100000" which changes from left to right in thickness, from thin to thick lines. The texts are visible under a magnifying glass.

See-Through: On the lower-left side there is a "See-Through Image" of the denomination (100000) which is completed when the banknote is held up to the light.

Intaglio Printing: This feature can be easily detected by touch in some parts of the Banknote.

Intaglio Sign for the blind: On the lower-left of the front side there are four brown intaglio dots inside border lines, for the visually handicapped.

Latent Image: With intaglio printing of (100000) can be detected in down border when banknote is tilted horizontally at the eye level and held against light.
