5 Dollars Local Currency 1931 (Front: Portrait of Sun Yat-sen (1866-1925). Back: First building of the Kwangtung Provincial Bank (built in 1914), co-founded by the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. The building was renamed to Kwangtung Central Bank by Sun Yat-sen on the 15th of August 1924 and in January 1932 renamed again to the Kwangtung Provincial Bank. It was used by the People's Bank of China, Guangzhou Branch. Today it houses the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Guangzhou Branch and is located at the north bank of Pearl River (Zhujiang), 193 Middle Road, along the Yangtze River Road in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou.
