20 Pounds Sterling 14.2.1962 – The British Linen Bank (Front: Coat of arms of the British Linen Bank (granted in 1934), depicting flowers, knight's helmet armour, rampant horse, two rampant lions and thistle plants. Front and back: Coin emblem surmounted by the Latin motto "Ditat" ("It enriches"), depicting seated Athena (Pallas) holding a shield with Gorgon Medusa's winged head, a sailing ship in full sail (taken from the coat of arms of the Union Bank of Scotland. The Union Bank was absorbed by Bank of Scotland in 1955), and a wooden plough. British Linen Bank merged with Bank of Scotland in 1971.
